Willie J. Clarke, the president of Deep City Records, has been a songwriter and professional music producer since the mid-1960s. He has earned awards including Gold Records, Platinum Records and Grammys in a career that began in the heart of Miami's Overtown that continues today. With a proven track record as the creator of the original Miami Sound. He has helped produce and create tracks and albums for a long list of platinum and gold musicians, including but not limited to; K C and the Sunshine Band, Little Beaver, George McRae, Gwen McRae, Betty Wright, Paul Kelly, Helene Smith, the late Clarence Reid and many more as a producer and engineer at T K Productions and CEO of his own Deep City Records.
Recently, Willie Clarke has been featured in a documentary based on his life in a motion picture film called, "Deep City Records: Birth of the Miami sound" that can been seen on south Floridas own WLRN TV station. He has also appeared on CNN's Anthony Bourdain, Parts Unknown and continues to make appearances on behalf of his ongoing lifelong career in the music industry.
